The ADA Committee and the Fair Lawn Recreation Department were honored by the Arc of Bergen Passaic County at their Founder’s Day Meeting on June 20, 2013 with the Steve and Ana Chepurka Award for Recreation. The award was established a number of years ago in honor of Ana and Steve, a couple who devoted their time and energies to ensuring that people with developmental disabilities have access to recreation and leisure activities in the community. The ADA Committee and the Fair Lawn Recreation Department were recognized for the difference that Fair Lawn has made in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
